  • Closure Update

Thu 19 Mar 2020 Mrs Mallaby

At this moment in time, we are still waiting for further updates and information from the Government in regards to: who qualifies as a key worker and which children will be expected to continue to attend school.

As soon as we receive this guidance, we will notify you via School App message, email, school website and Facebook page.

Once we have been updated, we will be sending out an online key worker survey to help us identify which children will be remaining at school.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

  • Coronovirus update 18.3.20

Wed 18 Mar 2020 Mrs Mallaby

Many of you will have heard the announcement this evening that schools in the UK are to shut from Friday until further notice as a response to the Coronavirus pandemic.  Schools in England and Wales will close except for looking after the children of key workers and vulnerable children.

Exams will not go ahead this academic year.

At this point no school has received any additional information to that announced live tonight.  We hope that we will get further guidance tomorrow and will update you as soon as we can.

    Thank you for your understanding.

  • CONTINUED PARTIAL-SCHOOL CLOSURE FOR 19TH & 20TH MARCH

Wed 18 Mar 2020 Mrs Mallaby

Unfortunately, due to a continued number of classroom-based staff having to self-isolate, I need to extend the partial closure of school until the end of this week in order to ensure the school remains safely open for the majority of children.

This will remain the case unless we have further staff absences or a directive to close from the government.

YR will be closed on Thursday 19th & Friday 20th March.  The only exceptions to this are for children whose parents are front-line emergency services staff (police, fire, medical), children entitled to pupil premium grants or school staff.  These children should be brought to (and collected from) Butterflies Classroom. Y1 and Y2 classes will remain open.

If you are unsure if your child is entitled to the Pupil Premium Grant, please phone the office.

  • PARTIAL SCHOOL CLOSURE ON WEDNESDAY 18TH MARCH

Tue 17 Mar 2020 Mrs Mallaby

The difficult decision to partially close the school on Wednesday 18th March has been made.  This affects YR only with the exception of children whose parents are front-line emergency services (police, fire, medical) or school staff.

PLEASE SEE LETTER IN CORONAVIRUS UPDATES UNDER PARENTS TAB FOR FULL DETAILS.
